Dr. Varun is a young and dynamic hepatologist, gastroenterologist, and therapeutic endoscopist with over 10 years of experience in treating gastroenterology and liver ailments. He has completed training from the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram hospital (New Delhi) under stalwarts in the field and has wide exposure in treating liver disorders, pre and post-liver transplant care, pancreatic disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies. Following his rich experience at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, he has worked in Fortis Memorial Research Institute Gurgaon as a consultant for almost three years. Currently, he is running the department of advanced gastroenterology and Hepatology at Patel Hospital Jalandhar.

He has also been trained exclusively in doing ERCP’s, EUS, and advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures from pioneers of the field. He has a wide experience of performing manometry studies, breath tests, fibroscan, HVPG, and liver biopsies. He is one of the few gastroenterologists in the country who perform fecal microbiota transplants. He has worked with leading liver transplant teams and has wide experience in pre and post-liver transplant care. He is growing as an astute physician and an admired orator and is being invited regularly at different forums as a speaker and faculty.
